Fear of the unknown can cause tension which leads to increased pain, this is known as the 'fear tension pain cycle', which was first observed by Grantley Dick Read (1942) in his book 'Childbirth without fear'. We plan to provide a unique service that is designed to nurture nature, by providing you with the emotional and physical tools in preparation for birth and parenting. Emotional support is very important in the postnatal period, we understand that physiological changes and the birth experience may disturb the emotions, we pride ourselves on the ability to offer goldstar emotional care and advice to support you in the transition to motherhood. Postnatal Care within the NHS is very limited and women are now seeking independent support.
