Wendy Richert Registered Midwife
Hi I'm Wendy and I have worked within the NHS for 7 years. I am currently a Community/Birth centre Midwife. I enjoy being a midwife and have a special interest in normalising birth and lowering birth interventions. I am honoured to work within a birth centre environment and have done so for over 2 years. Throughout my career I have realised that many women are not prepared for labour or childbirth and because of this they come to hospital full of fear and very anxious. I adore antenatal education and birth preparation and I have seen the good results bought about by my talent for effective friendly communication, by speaking in a language that women understand and can relate to. I would love to meet you so why don't you come and join the fun.
Jan Spencer Registered Midwife
Hi I'm Jan and I have been a midwife for nearly 25 years. I was one of the first midwives in the south east to undertake a waterbirth, and I have attended many home birth too. I have a wealth of knowledge and experience and have been teaching successful antenatal classes for nearly 20 years. I also undertake baby examinations at the unit where I work and I also believe that women need to be prepared for labour and birth. I understand that the first few days of parenthood can be a challenge and feel that women are not given a good insight into coping with baby when they arrive home afterbirth. I am friendly, love life and have a brilliant client base, because many of my Mums come back to me again and again. I would also love to meet you to so come and join the fun.
